Kennedy
High School

As part of the Waterbury School District’s renovation initiative, Kennedy High School addressed critical issues within its auditorium. The outdated stage lighting system received a comprehensive overhaul, ensuring optimal performance. Simultaneously, fluorescent house lights were replaced with a more versatile and energy-efficient solution. Beyond technical upgrades, code violations were resolved, cosmetic concerns were addressed, and new side light positions were added. Additionally, the challenging-to-access lighting cove was redesigned to meet industry standards, and the stage rigging battens were upgraded from outdated hand winches.

Working closely with Friar Architects, Theater Design orchestrated the installation of new stage rigging, house lighting system, and draperies.
